7. Evaluations

Initial Evaluation

Before each course begins, all participants are evaluated in order to determine their level, need and objectives. After this evaluation, the client receives a detailed report.

Contents: The test is comprised of three parts:

  • a face-to-face interview in order to evaluate the oral and comprehension skills of participants and to learn their needs and objectives,
  • a 100-question test on grammatical structures and vocabulary taken on www.icbeurope.com
  • a writing skills test (on request)

Duration: Generally the evaluation lasts one hour.

Cost: Evaluations leading on to training courses are not billed. Evaluations without training: 60,00 € HT.

Quality Evaluation

After establishing a program and beginning the course, all participants in both individual and group lessons are contacted to check on the efficient functioning of the course and their satisfaction. In order to optimise the learning process, modifications will be made to the program if necessary.

Duration: from 5 to 30 minutes

Cost: Not billed

Final Evaluation

At the end of each lesson cycle, participants are tested by their trainer in order to determine progress and identify needs. An individual interview is also carried out to learn the participant's appreciation of the lessons and to check on objectives and needs with a view to preparing future training.

Duration: generally one hour

Cost: Not billed

TOEIC

ICB Europe is an “Authorised TOEIC Test Centre” since 2000. Our lesson cycles often end with a TOEIC test (or BRIDGE for low level students) and some of our clients use the TOEIC as a recruitment tool which can be combined with an oral interview.

Recruitment Evaluations

Recruitment evaluations help companies objectively evaluate the linguistic skills in English of their candidates who are judged through a grammar test, a writing sample and a 30 minute oral interview.
