As of the 1st of May the English language and e-learning departments of Smart Business Communications have joined the ICB group. Smart has 15 years experience in the development and delivery of Business English training predominantly for the banking and financial sectors in Paris with a team of highly experienced trainers, administrators and IT specialists.
ICB and ICB Europe director Eric Wrobley has been selected to be a member of the French committee to participate in the creation of a new international ISO standard specific to language schools. A first ISO technical workgroup session will take place on the 20th of May in Beijing.
ICB Europe is 10 years old! December 2009 marks our 10th anniversary of quality English language training. These first 10 years have been a constant effort to be or become a good language school. The goal of the future is to become excellent.
The ICB Group has built a highly skilled and dependable team of 54 trainers thanks to:

Our trainers are all native English speakers and contribute the added value of cultural diversity thanks to their different countries of origin: Canada, Ireland, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, Britain and the United States.
Our average trainer has a Masters Degree and most also have a TEFL/CELTA degree for teaching English as a foreign language to adults. Before joining our team, trainers have acquired a wealth of professional experience in a variety of sectors in which many have become specialists. The trainers are not only experts in the technical aspects of the English language but they also know how to apply them to an international business context and in particular to the needs and challenges of our clients.
Each new trainer is inducted into our “communicative” method with a rigorous training program and learns to apply the method to the ICB course offering. Following this initial training program, our trainers are able to fine-tune their pedagogical skills through lesson observations 2 to 4 times per year carried out by the training manager who determines their level of performance and how to develop areas that require improvement.
